Multiple IOS Press Journals Achieve Increased Impact Factors

Amsterdam, NL – IOS Press, an independent international publishing house producing peer-reviewed content covering science, technology, and medicine, is pleased to announce a 15% increase in Journal Impact Factors (JIFs) across its 29 titles currently covered in Journal Citation Reports (Clarivate, 2021). The Journal of Neuromuscular Diseases received a notable first JIF of 4.693 and is ranked in the second quartile in both Neurosciences and Clinical Neurology in Science Citation Index Expanded 

A selection of journals from the IOS Press computer science portfolio achieved significant JIF increases. Particularly noteworthy is the Journal of Ambient Intelligence and Smart Environments, which experienced a 31% increase, resulting in a JIF of 2.759. This is the third consecutive year that this journal has increased its JIF by more than 30%. 

Integrated Computer-Aided Engineering’s new JIF of 6.137 represents a rise of 27% and places it in the first quartile in Engineering – Multidisciplinary and Computer Science – Interdisciplinary Applications. With a significant increase of 53%, Intelligent Data Analysis has now achieved a JIF of 1.321.

Another top computer science performer is Semantic Web, with a JIF of 3.105. This 40% increase positions it in the second quartile of the Computer Science – Theory & Methods category.

Other success stories include AI Communications at 1.029 (91% increase), Journal of X-Ray Science and Technology at 2.442 (59% increase), and Asymptotic Analysis at 1.259 (27% increase).

Clinical Hemorheology and Microcirculation: 2.411 
WORK: A Journal of Prevention, Assessment & Rehabilitation: 1.803 
Journal of Back and Musculoskeletal Rehabilitation: 1.456  
Applied Ontology: 1.367 
Isokinetics and Exercise Science: 0.729
