Like most aspects of our lives these days, the growth of automation, AI, and intelligent systems has brought about dramatic changes in transportation methods and management.
This publication presents the proceedings of ICITE 2024, the 9th International Conference on Intelligent Transportation Engineering, held from 18 to 20 October 2024 in Xi’an, China. The conference provided a platform for researchers and industry practitioners in the field of intelligent transportation engineering to share recent research work and technological developments. A total of 185 papers were submitted to the conference, all of which were subjected to a rigorous peer review process, after which 96 papers were accepted for presentation and inclusion in these proceedings. This represents an acceptance rate of 52%. The proceedings are divided into 13 sections. Topics covered include various aspects of traffic monitoring and management, intelligent transportation, autonomous driving and intelligent electric vehicles, safety, infrastructure and planning.
Providing a comprehensive overview of the latest developments in intelligent transportation engineering, the book will be of interest to all those working in the field.
