With more of us than ever now living in increasingly complex urban settings, we are all dependent for the safety and stability of the built environment we inhabit on the work of hydraulic and civil engineers.
This publication presents the proceedings of HCET 2025, the 10th International Technical Conference on Frontiers of Hydraulic and Civil Engineering Technology held from 26 to 28 September 2025 in Xiamen, China. The three-day conference provided an important opportunity for participants to exchange the latest findings and expertise across the disciplinary borders of national and international research. The 2025 conference received a total of 432 submissions, of which 165 high-quality papers from domestic and international scholars were accepted for presentation and publication after a rigorous double-blind peer-review process by an international panel, with each submission considered by at least 2 expert referees. Acceptance decisions were made based on the scientific merit and research quality of the work, and the ultimate acceptance rate for the papers was approximately 38%. The papers cover a broad spectrum of topics, including construction technology; tunnel construction and underground engineering; AI in civil engineering; soil engineering and foundation; physics and mechanics of materials for civil engineering; testing methods for concrete; flood risk assessment; water conservancy and hydropower engineering; vibration-signal denoising; underground hydrogen storage; and many more.
Offering an overview of the latest developments and research, this volume will serve as a valuable resource for researchers and engineers, fostering further exploration and innovation in these critical fields.
