The session on Genetics, Regulation and Morphogenesis deserves special mention because it documents the growth of interdisciplinary links between Artificial Life and the relatively young fields of bio-informatics and system biology.

One may thus expect that the contact between Artificial Life, bio-informatics and systems biology may result in advances in biotechnology.
