There is no doubt that applied intelligence, integrated with software, is an essential enabler for science and the new economy, but software often falls short of expectations, and methodologies, tools, and techniques are still not robust or reliable enough to deal with constantly changing and evolving situations.
This publication presents the proceedings of SoMeT_25, the 24th International Conference on New Trends in Intelligent Software Methodology Tools, and Techniques (SoMeT), held from 23 to 26 September 2025 in Kitakyushu, Japan. The SoMeT conferences provide an opportunity for the exchange of ideas and experiences in the field of software technology, especially with regard to intelligent software, giving participants a platform for the exploration of novel research experiences in new software methodologies, techniques and applications. This volume is a collection of 40 papers, carefully selected from the high-quality submissions received by the conference. After careful review by members of the program committee on the basis of technical soundness, relevance, originality, significance, and clarity, papers were revised on the basis of review reports before undergoing a final selection by the SoMeT_25 international reviewing committee. The focus of the 2025 conference was human-centric software methodologies, end-user development techniques, and emotional reasoning for optimized human-centric information system applications.
This proceedings captures the essence of a new state of the art in software science and its supporting technologies and identifies the challenges that these technologies will have to master. It will be of interest to all those working in the field.
