STAIRS'2002 is an affiliated event to the European Conference in Artificial Intelligence. It stands for "Starting Artificial Intelligence Researchers Symposium" and is the first European congress, which aimes at PhD students and recent PhD holders. It offers them on the one hand a first experience on submitting and presenting a paper in an international forum with a broad scope and thorough selection process, and on the other hand the opportunity to exchange ideas related to their research problems and approaches.
