Amsterdam, NL – IOS Press, an independent international publisher of scientific, technical and medical (STM) journals, and books, announces an overall Impact Factor increase of more than 12% across its 27 journals currently covered in the new Journal Citation Reports* (Web of Science Group, 2019) (based on 2018 data), which was published this week. Journals in AI and Computer Science achieved the most significant gains.
Furthermore, we are very pleased to note that Semantic Web is showing a steady increase since its inclusion in Journal Citation Reports. Its Impact Factor has gone from 2.224 to 3.524, which lead to an increase in ranking from Q2 to Q1 in the Computer Science, Information Systems category.
The Journal of Berry Research’s Impact Factor continues to rise since it was first included last year, to 2.379, thus securing its position in the second quartile of Plant Sciences.
IOS Press would like to express its gratitude to the authors, reviewers and editors for their invaluable contributions to the success that these journals have achieved. Impact Factors remain one of the most widely accepted indicators of journal quality and impact.
