Professor Toshio Obi received the distinguished Award on ICT by MIC Minister

On September 20 2013, Ministry of Internal Affairs and Communications (MIC) announced that professor Toshio Obi of GSAPS was awarded the prestigious distinguished Minister’s Award on ICT promotion 2013 by Minister Shinto.

Professor Obi is awarded because he has played the most important role in the ICT strategy on super-aged society as Deputy Chair of ICT Aging Master Plan Council, and also he has contributed on achieving the highly advanced e-government as a president of National e-Government Promotion Council and at the same time he has been instrumental in strengthening relations with international organizations such as United Nations, OECD and APEC, and enhance Japanese presence in the international ICT community. This year is the 42 anniversary of the Award by Japanese government.
