On April 23, 2015 we are moving to the IOS Press Content Library platform — from a website hosted by Metapress to this new site hosted by Semantico. Read the details here.
Benefits of IOS Press Content Library: - easier navigation - more personalization options - cleaner design
What does this mean for our customers?
Access
Access through IP recognition If an institution has had access via IP, the IP address will be recognized and journals can be accessed through the institution’s network. Access will continue without the customer having to do anything.
Access through username and password (including admin accounts) Those with access through username and password will receive a notification email that will include the username and temporary password with which one can reactivate the account. There is no need to register again.
In case of access problems, we can be contacted at customerservice@iospress.nl with the customer’s details (name, institution, email address associated with the account, Metapress ID, which subscription/package) so we can re-establish access as soon as possible.
Statistics
COUNTER usage statistics will be restarted with the migration to the IOS Press Content Library. Historical statistics are not being imported so we advise our customers to obtain COUNTER statistics from Metapress before September 30, 2015 if capturing this data is needed. We will do our utmost to minimize the gap in statistics during the migration, but it is likely that there will be a month or two without statistics. Contact us at sales@iospress.nl if help is needed with the collection of statistics. We will notify customers in due course with instructions on how to collect usage statistics through the IOS Press Content Library.
Alerts
The new journal platform will offer more personalized alerting options. Searches can be saved, email alerts installed, articles saved, batched citations exported, and more. Our new journal website will be highly intuitive, but if anyone needs help, we can be contacted at customerservice@iospress.nl. Unfortunately it was not possible to migrate previously established eTOC alerts, so we urge customers to reregister at their earliest convenience.
Redirects
Redirects will be in place on an article level for all journal articles with a DOI. For older content, the URLs will redirect to the homepage. If customers cannot find something or need help, they should contact us at customerservice@iospress.nl.
We hope that you will enjoy the improved usability and new features of IOS Press Content Library and welcome any feedback you may have!
