Author Copyright Agreement
License to publish in a journal
For all our journals, we require a signed Author Copyright Agreement before the publishing process can proceed. There are three licenses from which authors can select. Please take a moment to read the terms of these licenses via the links below.
By submitting your article to one of our journals, you and all co-authors of your submission agree to the terms of this license. You do not need to fill out a copyright form for confirmation; you can just let us know when you first submit your manuscript (you will be asked about this via the submission platform).
At this initial stage, authors must confirm they agree to the Author Copyright Agreement, which for subscription journals is by default License to Publish (LTP) 1 and for fully open access journals is by default LTP 2 (CC BY-NC).
When a manuscript is accepted for publication within a journal, the author(s) then has a choice: for subscription journals, authors can continue with LTP 1 or opt for LTP 2 or LTP 3 (CC BY); and for fully open access journals, authors can opt for LTP 2 or LTP 3.
For more information about open access, view the IOS Press Open Library.
The available licenses for authors to select from are listed below and can be accessed via the links (see Note 1).
