Open access publication

At a fee, authors can opt to publish their article open access immediately on publication. The default license for our open access articles is the Creative Commons Attribution Non-Commercial License (CC BY-NC 4.0). If your article is funded by an organization that mandates CC BY we will publish your open access article under the terms of the Creative Commons Attribution License (CC BY 4.0).
IOS Press has agreements with institutions to support open access publishing. To find out if you are eligible for a discount or waiver of the open access fee, please click here.

Color figures in the print version

Your figures will be printed in grey scale. At an additional charge we can print your figures in color in the print version. Note that figures that are supplied to us in full color are always in color in the online version at no charges.
Which color figures should be printed in color? IE: nr 1, 3 and 4.

Order a PDF copy of your article without watermark

For a fee you can order the PDF file of your article without watermark. This PDF file can be stored on your computer, it can be printed and saved. It includes the right to post this PDF file on your personal, your institute’s, company’s or funding agency’s website and in their repository. You are not allowed to distribute it for any other purposes (electronic or on paper), and you may not store it in any other repository or in a public retrieval system.
