These proceedings include the contributions to the 8th International Workshop on Vision, Modeling, and Visualization held in November 2003 in München, Germany. The contributions cover the areas: Image-based Modeling and Rendering, Geometric Modeling, Motion and Multi-view Processing, Shape Extraction and Registration, Rendering and Scientific Visualization, Volume Data: Processing, Rendering, Applications and Object Recognition. The workshop has been organized jointly by members of the Computer Graphics & Visualization Group and the Media Technology Group of Technische Universität München.
