This volume represents the series of lectures given during the NATO Advanced
Study Institute on Nonlinear Dynamics in the Life and Social Sciences in
2000. The lectures included in the volume survey both theory and experiment
in the domains of chaos theory, complex systems theory, time series
approaches, and simulation models. The book presents the cutting edge of
research in nonlinear dynamics as it is applied to psychology, biology,
neurobiology, evolution, molecular biology, ecology and geography.
