This volume comprises a collection of papers presented at the 5th International Conference on Computational Stochastic Mechanics which was held in Rhodes, Greece on June 21-23, 2006. The papers have been authored/co-authored by individuals reflecting rich thematic and geographical diversity. This conference was the sequel to the 4th International Conference on Computational Stochastic Mechanics which was held in Kerkyra, Greece on June 9-12, 2002. Previous conferences were held in Corfu (1991), Athens (1994), and Santorini (1998); Greece. This series of conferences have been established as a forum for advancing the status of computational methods as they apply to stochastic mechanics.
